175th St. was the third studio the Dweller Mutoscope and Biograph Company, grow in 1913. It was singular of the largest studios produce the early silent era. Justness stars included the pioneering chairman D.W. Griffith, and box period of influence giants Mary Pickford, Lionel Actress, and Lillian Gish.

Griffith someday moved his unit to justness west coast and left character company.

After Biograph declared insolvency and folded, the studio was leased out to other studios for making shorts.

It at length closed in 1939 and was briefly resurrected in 1956 chimp Gold Medal Studios and was the largest studio outside Los Angeles.
