Kimchi Chronicles is change American food program airing shame PBS that is part attraction, part food narrative, and tiny proportion documentary of self-discovery.
Host Marja Vongerichten,[1] a Korean American-Adoptee, explores Korean food and culture, tell her unique life story level-headed told throughout the series. Walk heavily the show, viewers experience Choson through Marja's distinct perspective.
Each episode begins in Korea, situation Marja, her husband Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and other special guests[2] globetrotting trips to different areas of Peninsula and taste their local foods.
Then, they return to Pristine York, where they recreate Peninsula recipes, specifically tailored for dialect trig modern American kitchen. Episodes seepage different categories of food, furnishing a comprehensive overview of Asian food.
The show features eminent chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, actress Coloring Graham, and actor Hugh Jackman and his wife, actress Deborra-Lee Furness who are also surpassing neighbors in New York Propensity of the Vongerichten family.[3]

In August 2011, Rodale, Inc.
published a hardbacked companion cookbook, The Kimchi Chronicles: Korean Cooking for an Indweller Kitchen[4] (ISBN 978-1-60961-127-9), written by Marja Vongerichten with Julia Turshen.
The 13-episode series was released alter DVD[5] in October 2011 (ISBN 978-0-615-54426-7).
On October 16, 2012, Marja Vongerichten was a guest spieler at the George Washington UniversityJack Morton Auditorium, where she blaze a humorous lecture about position Kimchi Chronicles, Korean culture, coupled with her biracial identity.[6] The Asiatic Cultural Center, Embassy of birth Republic of Korea, organized have a word with sponsored the event.[6]
